Boat Lettering
Boat lettering makes your boat unique! They give your collector's item charm and character. At STINGWRAP, we specialize in boat lettering. As we send Boat lettering to private and commercial boat owners every day, we know exactly what is important! We only use branded films with a long service life and an optimum adhesive surface for boats. These films are suitable for use on boats, are weather-resistant and have UV protection. Our Boat lettering films are also resistant to seawater. This means that the colors of the Boat lettering do not fade and are also protected. The stickers can be removed at any time without leaving any residue and do not damage your boat's paintwork.
Our Boat lettering is always sent with a transfer film. This makes applying the boat lettering child's play for you and no specialist knowledge is required.
How to apply Boat lettering correctly
Our film sticks to all smooth surfaces such as paint, gelcoat, glass or aluminum. The surface should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased beforehand. The film is completely opaque, so there is no need to worry about the substrate affecting the color of the lettering. Thanks to the air channels in the adhesive surface, Boat lettering can always be applied without bubbles as the air can escape through the channels under the film.
Here we have created a Boat lettering gluing guide for you.
Fix the boat name with masking tape and measure straight.
Also attach an adhesive strip in the middle.
Cut the masking tape on the side and remove the lettering from the backing paper.
Cut through the backing paper with scissors and fold the lettering back again under slight tension.
Squeegee the boat name with even pressure.
Repeat the process for the other side and press the lettering down firmly again.
Finally, carefully remove the transfer foil.
What remains is your boat name sticker.

Boat lettering foil
There are 2 different ways in which we can produce Boat lettering. On the one hand, we have various colored films from which we can plot the desired lettering. We use this process for Inflatable boat labeling. As this is a special film for inflatable boats. Another option that we use for Boat lettering is digital printing. Here, the lettering is printed onto a white film, sealed with a protective laminate and then cut out with a plotter. This process is particularly suitable for a wider range of colors and bubble-free adhesion of the Boat lettering.
FAQ
No, so that you don't have to stick them all on individually, our lettering is provided with a transfer film. This is a transparent film that holds the individual letters together and is removed again once the lettering has been applied to the boat.
We only use high-quality films for our lettering, which are guaranteed by the manufacturer for at least 7 years. Digital prints are provided with a protective laminate to protect them from fading due to UV radiation.
For Boat lettering, we only use films that are also suitable for boats that sail in salt water. The films are splash-proof, but should not be applied below the waterline in salt water.
The film can be removed without leaving any residue even years later. If the film is difficult to remove after years, we recommend using a hot air gun. If adhesive residue remains, it can be removed with spirit or isopropanol.

As there are no regulations for boat names, you can let your creativity run wild here. There is a regulation for boat license plates which states that the lettering must be at least 10 cm high.
For Boat lettering, we recommend a special boat film with air channel technology. This has been developed for use on boats and can be applied without specialist knowledge.
