Kayak lettering adhesive instructions

Applying the Kayak lettering is child's play thanks to the high quality of the films. The lettering is successfully applied in just a few simple steps. For the best result, we have created an adhesive guide.

Fix the boat name with masking tape and measure straight.

Also attach an adhesive strip in the middle.

Cut the masking tape on the side and remove the lettering from the backing paper.

Cut through the backing paper with scissors and fold the lettering back again under slight tension.

Squeegee the boat name with even pressure.

Repeat the process for the other side and press the lettering down firmly again.

Finally, carefully remove the transfer foil.

What remains is your boat name sticker.

Do you have to label a kayak?

Kayaks, canoes or paddle boats must be marked on the outside with the name or abbreviation of the associated club. The owner's name and address must be marked on the inside (small lettering is permitted here). An exception applies to surfboards and stand-up paddle boards.

How large should the marking on a kayak be?

The marking should consist of 10 cm high Latin letters. The following applies: light lettering on a dark background and dark lettering on a light background.

Do I have to stick the letters on individually?

No, so that you don't have to stick them all on individually, our lettering is provided with a transfer film. This is a transparent film that holds the individual letters together and is removed again once the lettering has been applied to the kayak.
