Determine the size and position of the fish stickers

There are no limits to the design of your fishing boat thanks to the individual size and the large selection of motifs. Choose your favorite fish from the various fish graphics. We provide you with razor-sharp graphics as fishing stickers, which are ideal as large stickers for fishing boats thanks to their high quality. No matter which motif you choose, you will enjoy your new fish stickers for a long time thanks to our high-quality film. Below are a few sample images of how others have placed their fishing stickers on a boat. This will give you an idea of what your fishing boat could look like with one of our fish stickers. In our opinion, the best effect is achieved if the height of the fish is slightly higher than the height of the side of the boat. The excess film of the fish sticker can simply be cut off at the top and bottom edge of the side of the boat after application.

Fish sticker sticking instructions

The fish stickers can also be applied dry thanks to the air duct film.
In these instructions, we will introduce you to the wet gluing method, which is particularly suitable for sticking on large stickers.

Spray the cleaned surface.

Spray the cleaned surface with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid. Add approx. 2 to 3 drops of detergent to 1 liter of water.

Now spray the adhesive surface of the film with the mixture.

Place the sticker on the surface to be covered.

Now place the film sticker on the surface to be covered. For larger films, it is advisable to do this in pairs.

Position the sticker correctly.

The sprayed mixture forms a film between the film and the surface to be covered so that the film can be easily pushed into the correct position.

Press out the water evenly with a squeegee.

Now use a felt squeegee and apply even pressure to remove the water from behind the film so that the film's adhesive can adhere to the surface.

Cut off excess foil with a cutter knife.

Excess film can simply be cut off flush with the edge of the boat using a cutter knife.

You can use a squeegee as a cutting aid.

For protruding edges, you can use the squeegee to help you cut and guide the blade along it.

You can also cut along a piece of masking tape.

You can also mark the desired cut edge with masking tape and then cut along it.

Adapt large stickers to the shape of the boat.

This means that large stickers can be perfectly adapted to the shape of the boat.

Heat the edges of the sticker with a hair dryer and press on.

Finally, we recommend heating the edges of the stickers and pressing them on again with the squeegee.

Seal the sticker with edge sealer.

We recommend coating the edges of the sticker in the area of the fairway with an edge sealant.

FAQ

Our stickers can be removed without leaving any residue if necessary. To do this, you should heat them up and carefully peel them off. Any remaining adhesive residue is best removed with a cloth and isopropanol.

The current quality of fish stickers is so high that you can expect a service life of approx. 7 years. Of course, this does not include external damage.

The fish stickers adhere to all smooth surfaces such as paint, gelcoat on GRP boats, bare aluminum and glass.

The surface to be covered should be thoroughly cleaned and degreased beforehand. We recommend sanding or filling any deeper scratches or unevenness beforehand. You can find detailed gluing instructions on our website.

We generally recommend sealing the edges of stickers that are bonded to bare aluminum. In the case of paint or gelcoat, sealing is only recommended in the area where the fairway presses against the boat. The areas that are underwater should also be coated with our edge sealant.
