We have designed most of the designs so that they stop before the curve at the front of the bow of the boat. This makes it easier to apply the film. For designs that extend to the tip of the bow, a total of 20 cm should be added in length so that the foil can be cut cleanly at the stern and bow of the boat.
Should I glue my boat wet or dry?
For wet application, the adhesive surface of the Boat Wrap Design film and the surface to be covered are sprayed with water. This prevents the film's adhesive from adhering to the surface, making it easier to apply and position the film without wrinkles. If you mix one or two drops of Pril into the water, the design film can even be moved around on the surface and only sticks once the water has been squeezed out with a squeegee. We recommend this option for inexperienced users. If you already have experience, or if you have to blow-dry the film into beads, we recommend the air channel film.
Is the Boat Wrap Design film weather-resistant?
Boat Wrap Design films consist of 2 films on top of each other. The print on the lower film is protected by a transparent film applied on top. The so-called protective laminate protects the print from fading in the sun or abrasion. Because the Boat stickers consist of 2 films, they are very thick and therefore easy to apply.
