Film for boats

A boat film is a film that has been specially approved by the manufacturer for the maritime sector. These boat films are available in various colors and even as a digital print film. This opens up countless possibilities for giving your boat an individual look. Older boats in particular can be given an amazing upgrade at a relatively low price. But covering new boats with film also makes perfect sense, as the gel code or paint remains underneath the boat.

Buy boat film online

In our online store, you have the option of ordering boat foils in various colors and in the desired length by the meter easily and securely online. Simply select the desired color or design and specify how many meters you need for your project. The price will then be calculated automatically and you can add the boat foil to your shopping cart. The boat wrapping films are on a roll and are 1.52 m high. On request, we can divide them in the middle, as half a roll per side is usually sufficient, especially for smaller boats or if you only want to stick one colored strip on the side.

Easy application of the boat foil thanks to air duct technology

Thanks to air duct technology, bubble-free bonding of boat film is no longer an art that only professionals used to master. But how does it all work? The adhesive on the boat foil is not applied over the entire surface, it is interspersed with a network of narrow air channels. When the film is pressed on with a squeegee, the air can therefore easily escape to the outside and no bubbles can form. The adhesive only runs and the channels close once the boat film has been fully applied and pressed down.

FAQ

After you have applied the film, you should heat the edges of the film again with a hot air gun and press firmly once more. The heat and pressure will close the air channels and the adhesive can develop its full adhesive strength. You must then coat the edges with edge protection varnish to ensure that the film cannot peel off.

Apart from damage caused by external influences, you can expect a service life of at least 7 years. Scratches and damage are annoying, but you don't have to worry about the film peeling off in these areas. The affected areas can be repaired with a piece of the film so that it is hardly noticeable afterwards.

With a little manual skill, you can also wrap your boat yourself. The films are relatively thick and are therefore easy to handle. Once the film has been placed on the boat, it can be easily removed and repositioned. The adhesive can only adhere properly once you have pressed the film down firmly with the squeegee and warmed it up. Even creases in the film are no problem, as they can be removed quickly by heating the affected area. The film is best applied by two people.
