Gluing instructions for single-color boat foils
These step-by-step instructions show you how to carefully apply a single-color boat wrap. With the right technique, you can achieve a bubble-free, clean result that will provide your boat with long-lasting color and protection.
Clean boat
The first step is to thoroughly clean and degrease the surface to be covered. We use isopropanol to degrease and remove any adhesive residue.

Attach boat foil
Next, you should attach the film to your boat with Crepe tape and cut it roughly to size. It is best to get a second person to help you with the wrapping.

Cutting boat foil to size
Cut the film about 10 cm larger than the area to be covered.

Fix the boat foil with Crepe tape
Now fix the foil in the middle with Crepe tape and fold it in half.

Remove the boat foil from the backing paper
Now you can remove the backing paper from the film and cut it off.

Place the boat foil under tension on the boat
Next, fold the film back under slight tension and make sure that it lies flat without any creases. The film does not stick immediately and you can correct the position several times if necessary.

Remove the boat foil from the backing paper
Once the first side is in place, you can remove the Crepe tape in the middle and also remove the backing paper from the right-hand side.

Bonding boat foil in pairs
You should press the film down a little in the middle or, even better, have a second person hold it in place. This will prevent the film from falling down when you stretch the right-hand side over the surface to be covered.

Press on the boat foil with a squeegee
Once the film is applied without wrinkles, you can start pressing the film on with the squeegee. This works best if you first press on a narrow strip to the left and right from the center.

Continue to press on the boat foil with the squeegee
You can then loosen the film again at the edge and stretch it evenly up and down. Again, start in the middle and press the film down evenly with the squeegee up to the outer edge.

Cutting boat foil to size
Finally, simply cut off the excess film at the edges with a Cutter knife. To get a straight cut edge, it is best to stick a strip of Crepe tape along the line where you want to cut later and then run the knife along the Crepe tape.

Extend colored boat foil
Once you have wrapped your boat in coloured film, you can personalize it with individual stickers or lettering.
